classic shortbread

it will never be as good as ted lasso’s:(

150g flour

100g cold butter, cubed

50g sugar

place all the ingredients in a food processer pulse until a breadcrumb-like texture forms.

tip the dough onto a clean countertop, and gently start to knead it, using the warmth of your hands to make the dough come together. don’t force it, just be patient it will eventually form a dryish dough ball.

alternatively, place all the ingredients into a large bowl using your fingertips rub the butter into the flour to create a breadcrumb texture, then gently knead the dough together.

roll the shortbread out to your desired thickness, cut out whatever shapes you like, that can be rectangles, circles, flowers, stars, spider-man, literally whatever. chill the dough for 10-20 minutes, sprinkle with a little bit of sugar.

preheat the oven to 325F

bake for 10-20 minutes, until the bottoms and edges are golden brown :)
